Breast Lift Gainesville, Florida

As we age, a number of factors can compromise a voluptuous bust. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss, and even hormonal changes can cause our breasts to lose elasticity and begin to sag.

Breast lift is one of the most popular breast surgery options available today, and can impart a more youthful, perkier shape. Dr. Greg Gaines has years of experience performing plastic surgeries, and offers breast lift surgery to our patients in Gainesville and surrounding areas. To learn whether you are a candidate and find out more about this procedure, schedule a consultation at our practice today.

Dr. Gaines explains all the steps involved in a breast lift procedure. This procedure can restore a full, lifted look to the bust. Dr. Gaines takes a cautious approach to treatment to provide beautiful results and long-term satisfaction.

Understanding Your Goals

Dr. Gaines practices a conservative approach toward cosmetic enhancement. Beginning with an in-depth consultation, Dr. Gaines will discuss your unique concerns and goals. Additional factors like pre-existing medical conditions and budget constraints will also be weighed in order to create a treatment plant that best suits your needs.

By learning more about your desired aesthetic outcomes, Dr. Gaines can help you develop realistic expectations of what a breast lift can do for you. For each patient, Dr. Gaines aims to create an outcome that is beautiful, yet completely natural looking. After a breast lift, your new breast shape should resemble your breasts before they began to droop or lose volume. Depending on your cosmetic goals, Dr. Gaines may recommend you consider breast augmentation in addition to a lift to achieve your best possible results.

The Procedure

Breast lift surgery is performed at our office as an outpatient procedure. The procedure is simple, effective, and tightens loosened skin and the muscle beneath it to restore a naturally full, lifted look.

During a breast lift, Dr. Gaines will make an incision around the darkly-colored areola. This thin incision will extend beneath the breast to the top of the rib cage. Dr. Gaines will remove excess breast tissue and skin, and the nipple will be repositioned so that it sits higher on the breast. If desired, an implant can be inserted at this time, above or below the muscle of the breast. Dr. Gaines will close the incision in the breast with delicate sutures that will minimize the appearance of scarring. A compression band may be placed around the chest to aid in post-surgical healing and contouring.

In the weeks following treatment, you will periodically visit our office to ensure your healing is progressing on time and free of complications. While you are healing your breasts will feel sensitive and need to be protected from physical contact. During this time you should abstain from strenuous activities like heavy lifting, strength training, and contact sports.

The Benefits

Dr. Gaines exercises a cautious approach to treatment, ensuring our patients will be pleased with their natural-looking enhancements. Performed correctly, breast lift surgery provides long-lasting benefits. Once healing is complete, patients will have a light scar that is virtually invisible. Our patients report increased feelings of confidence and self esteem, in addition to being able to better fill out their bras and clothing.
